You are one of those people Emily. You have a topic that I love and you take that and sprinkle it with life lessons, wit and humor and in a folksy down to earth style. I have enjoyed it so much.

We thoroughly enjoyed your presentation of Happy Hiking at The Dr Shaw Memorial Library in Mt Vernon in August. Your slides were amazing, the displays were plentiful and interesting, and your description of your travels were highly engaging! You spoke with honesty, gave explanations with interesting details and answered the many questions generated from the attendees. It was great to have your husband Bruce along, who was an integral part of your journey.
The "hold" the Appalachian Trail has on you and the commitment you have to share your unique experiences with others is commendable.
