That was a fast 16 miles filled with mud and rocks. Not all was an obstacle course we did have some very pleasant trail at times.

We enjoyed our last day of slackpacking for awhile. Batman leaves us tomorrow. His vacation is done and must head home and return to work Monday. It's going to be tough without him. We have been glamping for two weeks. Our packs are going to feel like bricks tomorrow.

I met a fellow Maineac today on the trail. Not just anyone either. His name is DC6 and he knows our neighbors and friends Pat and Doug. It's a small, small world.

Sometimes I live by the mantra Go ahead and do it. You don't know anyone here, have fun. But that doesn't always hold true. On this adventure alone I have run into 4 different people on the trail in the middle of nowhere that know me or someone I know personally. I have lost count of the number of "fans" who have recognized me from the Ryan Leighton's documentary Walking Home. So I guess I should care about what I do. That leads me to my other mantra. If you always act with integrity whether you are being watched or not then you will never have to worry about skeletons in your closet.

Happy Hiking.
