Gear, gear, and more gear

ree

Black Friday and Cyber Monday were busy for Bruce and I. We took full advantage of all the deals related to our hiking needs and wants. We were exhausted after all the shopping and never left the house.

The real fun happened yesterday. We celebrated Christmas early with our Son and Daughter in law. Forgetting how much we ordered, excitement overwhelmed me when I walked into the living room. Patch and Brittany - who shall be named Princess from here on out, all for good reasons - arranged our packages under the tree. It filled it and they were mostly for me. 😁 When I saw the tree, instantly, I also forgot I was an adult and those innoscent kiddish feelings overwhelmed me as I giggled and laughed with excitement. Sure, I knew what was in them, I ordered most of them. But it was what all it represented for me - pure love and support from my husband Bruce, Patch, and Princess for this hiking passion I have.

We didn't open all of them, only the one ones we knew were for the "kids." We didn't need to, we had fun handling them and remembering which items we ordered from which store. We decided to open them one at a time later as unboxings to share on my socials. Maybe a new YouTube series for this upcoming hike.

That's going to be a new adventure - doing videos. I don't have any fancy gear. I know nothing about editing or content creation. I'm as silly as heck and sometimes down right brain dead in front of a camera. And I have no budget to hire a professional social media expert. But I don't care about what I am or not am or what I have and don't have. I think it will be fun to add another element to my story telling.

So, stay tuned for some unboxing fun of my gear and the reasons we chose what we did. Remember to like and share to help me reach more readers.

Happy Hiking,

Emily
