Introducing a New Series
Puppy fever has attacked our household. Last week we tried to cure the fever and brought home Zoey. If you read last week's post, you know that didn't turn out so well. We really wanted to rescue, but with being spoiled by Barney for almost thirteen years, we didn't think we would have that good a luck again. We had been toying with the idea of getting a puppy from a breeder, but that desire to rescue a surrender canine weighed strong on us. But Zoey helped us to realize we n

Knowing when to say, "No."
I really need to get back to my Monday, or at the latest, Tuesday posts. Waiting until Thursday makes it seem so late and in the past. But I guess, it's better than never. That's what I keep telling myself anyway. And that's why most years my Christmas cards don't go out until late January and sometimes February. Covid is still around, but after a year of mastering social distancing, we knew how to take precautions for everyone's safety. Our ice fishing days start early, usually before

Blueberry Ledges winter snowshoe
Well, here it is Friday and I am just now getting my weekly post out, I even went on a hike last weekend. Anyone else have trouble staying focused? I am like a squirrel, running here, running there. Oh look, something shiny! What a beautiful day out on the trails Sunday, it was warm, sunny and no wind. We went just in time. This week's weather has been brutal. One day we thought the house was going to blow away. That was the day we couldn't keep the house warm even though the
